Willie Borm

US Freeskiing team member and Midwest boy, Willie Borm was listed by Powder Magazine as one of the top 20 athletes under 18 years old. There’s a reason you’ll be seeing a lot more of Borm in the years to come.  He has been knocking on the door of slopestyle skiing for years, which is saying something since he’s only 17 years old. This young ripper is not only climbing the ranks in the slopestyle world, he also finds time to film ski movie segments.

The 2014 season marked freeskiing’s inaugural Olympic qualifying period and Borm came into the season an Olympic hopeful. With invites to the Dew Tour and Grand Prix series, Borm held his own among the sport’s top pros and showed the world that he will be one to watch for years to come.

At three years old, Borm got his start on the 300-foot bunny hill at Hyland Hills ski area in Bloomington, MN. It was there that he met Martin and Lewis Sunquist, who run the USSA Nybora Freestyle Team. Borm says, “I learned my first 12 at Nybora and Hyland Hills. I’m still on the team and ride at Hyland Hills as much as possible whenever I'm back home in Minnesota.”
